      Assigned infrequently to classes, grades K-8th grade.

      Cover a variety of subjects, including Earth Science, Language Arts, and Music.

 

Full-Time Pre-School Substitute, Summer 2006, Stepping Stone School, 1910 Justin Lane, Austin, Texas 78757

      Assigned full-time to a class of 18 children, aged 3-5.

      Designed creative activities for learning alphabet, numbers, and spelling, including spelling names in shaving cream and teacher-made materials such as sponge numbers for stamping.

      Kept track of and watched over individual child needs such as allergies, toilet training, and behavioral problems, as well as universal needs such as sunscreen, bathroom etiquette, and hand washing.

      Made music an integral learning tool for everything from days of the week to washing hands.

      Learned to use classroom rules, rewards, and even furniture arrangement to facilitate classroom etiquette and improve classroom community.
